Prior to joining the team 10 years ago,  Janis worked for HMRC for 20 years covering both Customs & Excise and VAT disciplines; finishing her time there as an Intrastat Specialist Officer. This included 9 years as a visiting Audit Officer for VAT and Intrastat, inspecting a wide variety of traders ranging from the self-employed to multi-national group companies. During her 10 years in practice, Janis has dealt with technical queries and HMRC disputes through to Tribunal stage. Janis is also a member of the Federation of Tax Advisers and Institute of Financial Accountants.
